While rattling off wish lists to friends at a Super Bowl party, The Clay Pelican was born. Michelle Simmons, an avid lover of the arts, taught herself ceramics with insight and help from various friends. A lot of trial and error has created some of the most beautiful pieces to date. 

While Michelle may be the one you work with most often, this business is not run by one person alone. The majority of all the woodworking is done by Michelle's husband, Nick. Always around to lend a helping hand are Michelle's friends Patrice and Anna. Michelle and Nick's 3 kids have even been known to pitch in from time to time.
